You know good marketing when you see it.  Few companies market well and some are getting better.  We will feature excellent marketing ideas that work, be it a small company or a large one.

According to Sergio Zyman, former Marketing Director of Coca-Cola the #1 brand in the world, “The job of marketing is to sell more goods and services at higher and higher prices.”

These examples feature excellent marketing at work.  Send us your picks with video, photos or other descriptive data, and reasons why you categorize your pick as 5-star.  We’ll post your submission and possibly feature you in our Strategy Letter.

What do cows say?  "Eat Mor Chikin" says Truett Cathy, Founder of Chick-Fil-A.  This franchise is closed on Sundays and yet makes up to three times the average franchise.  Chick-fil-A built its successful model around the boneless chicken sandwich a recipe formulated by Mr. Cathy.  His organization sources franchisers that are in their late 20's to early 30's who are committed to their customers and to the brand.  Chick-fil-A is heavily involved in the community providing scholarships to employees and at-risk youth.  The Cathy family are wonderful foster parents and are considered one of the largest corporate charitable givers to youth causes.
Our hat is off to Extreme Makeover.  Not only has the production team created a great television show, but involved the excellent marketing minds of many of the sponsors in a way that is truly spectacular and surprising at every turn.  Sears gets high marks for its involvement in the show making it a success story of "heartstring" marketing done well.  Sears is a family historic brand and they drive that point home when being involved in this dream making show.
Our 5 Star Marketing pick this year is www.gop.com. A $3 trillion dollar economy at stake, 290 million U.S. population and world communities everywhere, The Marketing Strategy Team of the GOP hit a home run. Whatever your political affiliation, this is one is for the history books. How did they do it? Respond on our bulletin board with your opinions.
